Dear Andrea,

many thanks!!!! Updating my Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) from 2015-2022 to the recent version solved all issues (not only issues with GRASS tools, but also including problems with SAGA raster tools).

Best regards

Jochem

Ah... you can obviously also fix the issue coping the file msvcp140.dll from bin\ to apps\grass\grass84\bin, similarly to the way you've fixed the Qt Designer issue.

Regards.

Andrea

Hi Jochem,
the issue is due to the same root cause of the issue about Qt Designer you previously reported. In fact, you will find the report of v.external.exe and v.out.ogr.exe crash
related to MSVCP140.dll in the Windows tool "Event Viewer" -> "Windows
Logs" -> "Application".

You should be able to fix both the issues on your system just updating the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable to the latest version provided by Microsoft Windows.
