Well, this is alfa-code at best. It needs a lot more robusting. For instance, disk syncs are missing completely, so although there is logic to recover from catastrophic failure, the OS is not engaged to safely store on disk. Such save, should probably also be time related and not necessarily on every update. Need time to fool around with algorithms in this space.
