Gang, Some offline discussion has happened, and we feel that it is time to plunge head first into GIT.
So, for the SVN zealots out there, time to learn new tricks. I am taking on a 'central community' repository, served by gitosis, so that core developers can push patches into a trunk/head, where most people pick it up. We will also try to keep the head/trunk relatively free of branches (hence 'trunk'). I'll be back shortly with more info on where to find it and hopefully some links on how to use it.
