You can clone the qi4j-samples source code repository where all the SDK samples
are stored.
If you want to stick to the 1.0 qi4j version and get exactly what belongs to
the 1.0 SDK release you can checkout the
1.0 tag.
Here is what command lines it will "cost" you : )
git clone git://dscm.ops4j.org/qi4j-samples.git
cd qi4j-samples
git checkout qi4j-samples-1.0
Now a good ol' mvn clean install should work.
