Hi All,
Since there is now new issue in Jira since january and the list is quiet, I was
wondering if the project was still alive ;-)
Rickard& Niclas, are you still on board of this beautiful ship ?
How are you respective qi4j-based projects going ?
What about releasing a 1.0.1 version with all the last changes ?
Fair question! I've been very busy with my Streamflow project, which is
coming along nicely. Niclas have changed employment, and is not actively
working on any Qi4j-based project (AFAIK).
The project is still alive, but the question is: what's next? What is
missing? My "problem" is that, for me, I already have all I need in Qi4j
1.0. So far I haven't really found anything that is missing.
That being said, I *have* created a bunch of libraries in Streamflow,
that might be valuable to move into Qi4j-Libraries, such as DCI support,
REST-DCI, a library for selecting file system locations based on OS
(e.g. on Unix files are stored in ~/.<appname>/data), and so on.
Are there any features that you see missing in Qi4j-Core, or is the main
work to be done now in creating libraries+extensions?
I'm open for suggestions!
And yes, we could definitely release 1.0.1 with the latest changes, so
we have a release for that, rather than having to use snapshots. Niclas,
what are your thoughts on that?
regards, Rickard
