There is another transition that I we might end up doing, and that is to Apache. Or at least *I* think it is a good idea, if it wasn't for the lack of GIT. HOWEVER, Git is being experimented with, and CouchDb has now become the guinea pig for Git@Apache. This is to work out how to adopt GIT without loosing the core values of ApacheWay in a controlled fashion. So, popular demand is pushing this issue quite hard internally, and I wouldn't be surprised if the first incubating projects to use Git will do so by early/mid next year. If that happens, I would like to suggest that we consider this move "instead"...
