Glad it finally worked.
That's the kind of adventure that makes osx looks like windows
and makes me miss good old simple unixes.

I did "disk repair", didn't work.
I did "reinstall Lion", didn't work.
I did what this article telling me. It didn;t work.
I removed everything I could find that seemed to be "Java", it didn't work.
I used "pkgutil --forget" on Java packages, it didn't work.
And possibly a couple of other things I have forgotten.
Then I did a "reinstall Lion" again, as I ran out of ideas, and that worked.
So something "first" and then a reinstall of Lion...
What a day!!! My most disappointing day of owning a Mac ever...
