Hi Tim,
I am afraid you misunderstood me...
I am proposing something "fuller" than SMSQ/E - QDOS. In a way, the sum of
parts being greater than the individual parts....
The "OpenQDOSMS" should have everything SMS has, with the best features of
Minerva plus media capabilities (gfx and sound), GUI and an open/easy
driver architecture

As for the SMSQ/E sources, although say Marcel could help with them, the
right way to go would be a dissasembly of it...
(Now before everyone starts about legality etc... let me let you IN my way
of thinking)...

Let's assume we do not talk about OSes but we are talking about VW Beetles
(Close to home ;-)
Beetles were fully dissasembled, reverse engineered etc. etc... as many
other cars were (and still are) by competitors, aftermarket equipment
companies, mechanics, simple auto mechanic hobbyists etc. etc...

There is NOTHING wrong learning how a thing works...

There are a lot of things wrong exactly copying a
thing/OS/program/machine/book etc... To get ideas from things that are
around us it's not only logical, its human.
In the case of SMSQ/E it has been done with QDOS and Minerva (IIRC that's
how Minerva came into existence in the first place) etc. etc.

If we prohibit someone to learn how things work, we might as well put on
long gowns, sit around in a circle, turn the clock back to 1000 A.D and
call ourselves the "Holy Inquisition".... Thou shalt believe....

See the thing is, if we can break down SMS to its parts, through the power
of the many we might come up with better ideas than TT did (he is alone in
this)... (We may again not but we will (shall) not know until we try...
