I'm all for this, except that key parts of the current the OS are still 
owned by Tony Tebby.
This includes, the TTK (we have some work-alikes) and the Pointer 
Environment (ProWess may be a bit much for some folks).  I can't see us 
doing anything serious with out these parts.

A good example would be the recent open sourcing of a few older versions of 
AT&T Unix (I believe it was something like System III).  It was a nice 
jesture, but way too late and very out of date.   I can't imagine using my 
QL with only base QDOS (and not addons).
