As a long time absentee I wonder where I might look to see exactly what the later machines consist of ?

Some info on my website : http://www.rwapsoftware.co.uk/sinclairql.html with links to other pages with more info

Is Qx0 for the 40 & 60 ?

Yes - Qx0 is a short form of writing Q40 and Q60. Both are replacement QL machines designed by Claus and Peter Graf - see http://www.q40.de for details on these excellent machines.

Aurora -

A replacement motherboard for the QL - gave better resolution up to 1024x768 and 256 colour modes. However, you need to put the QL in a case and need a Gold Card or Super Gold Card to go with it, plus disk drives. See my webpage for details of these.

And any other ?

Various emulators... QPC2 and Q-Emulator are probably the best Windows ones. There are emulators for Unix, Amiga and ST as well. I have a page devoted to the emulators http://www.rwapsoftware.co.uk/emulators.html.

The putative Masta

You mean Nasta? The designer of the Aurora, QubIDE (hard disk interface) and lots more.
