AFAIAA, 'C' was a development of the [typeless] language 'B' which was a development of the language 'BCPL' (available at one time for the BBC micro). There were a few people who suggested that the successor to 'C' (named 'C++') should be called 'P' (the next letter of BCPL). _______________________________________________ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm
