The only time I get this behaviour is when Windoze is printing to the 
parallel port. Then Qpc2 becomes unusable. Is it only the mouse movement or 
is the rest of Qpc2 sluggish?

It is normal for Qpc2 to take a large slice of available CPU time, typically 
over 90%. Apart from the System Idle process, is any other task taking up a 
lot of CPU time on your system?
