My personal view of the QUANTA Software Library is that it contains a lot of stuff that could be archived - for those who like to dig amongst the dust and cobwebs - even though, at the time it was written, it was of great interest to a lot of people who were developing their own skills and liked to see how someone else worked and also had a element of enjoyment by being able to programme in SuperBASIC or develop simple usable procedures. The more up-to-date stuff in the library that is still of interest in today's world could be included in my "QL Software Updates Centre and may bring attention to itself as being of some use or interest to those of us who are left in the QL fraternity. I will speak to the QUANTA Librarian about his views on archiving the older items as this would make the job a whole lot more manageable.
Thanks for the suggestion. I have started my Software list from user's "Top Ten" selections. Does anyone else out there want to send me theirs or are there more cynics than enthusiasts? You can all reach me privately by using one of my QUANTA email addresses or through this list Regards to all, John Gilpin. ----- Original Message ----- From: "gwicks" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, February 18, 2006 1:00 PM Subject: Re: [ql-users] Software versions was Sedit 2.26 > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Dilwyn Jones" > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Friday, February 17, 2006 9:40 PM > Subject: Re: [ql-users] Software versions was Sedit 2.26 > > >> I don't routinely keep a list of what versions of all programs I'm at, >> but I'm sure given a day off I could come up with a list of my >> software versions. >> > > I don't either and it would take me quite a time to compile a list of the > latest JW versions.
