I've just been upgrading an old QL from JM ROM to JS ROM and
accidentally broke one of the keyboard membrane tails.
This QL has been in use from 1984 without a single change of keyboard
membrane (although it's only had light use in the last 3 or 4 years).
Is this some form of record, nearly 22 years from a single keyboard
membrane?
After inserting the JS ROM I noticed that pin 1 was missing on the
base (0000) JS ROM. The QL still seems to work OK, which implies it's
probably an unused pin - anyone know?
