Hi Dilwyn (and others!) I have tried your timing test programme on 4 of my QLs. I have numbered the machines as follows:
1) Aurora/SGC V2.47/QuBide V2.01 2) Aurora/SGC V2.47/QuBide V1.56 3) QPC2 V3.33 4) Black Box QL JM Rom/SGC V2.49 On both auroras I ran the test with both JS Rom and SMSQ_Gold V2.91 The results were as follows: 1) JS 60/60 321/327.68 1) SMSQ 2/60 321/327.68 2) JS 60/60 322/327.68 2) SMSQ 59/60 321/327.68 3) 61/60 328/327.68 4) JM 61/60 328/327.68 After retrying machine 1) again, I got SMSQ 1/60 321/327.68 and again 1) SMSQ 60/60 321/327.68 a further 4 or 5 tests on machine 1) with SMSQ all returned 60/60 321/327.68 I was unable to get the 1/60 or 2/60 returned earlier!! Hope this helps John Gilpin. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dilwyn Jones" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, December 12, 2006 8:33 PM Subject: Re: [ql-users] floppy drive and keyboard >> My machine has been doing the high flashing rate occasionly for some >> time now, but when start to flash quickly I tap the board lightly, >> and it goes back to normal. >> >> I just put it down to a faulty connection somewhere. >> >> The snag is I have to leave the cover off. >> >> Arnold > I just put the MinisQL back together without the Qubide and thought > things were back to normal.
