Nice to see the website updated, although it still has the advert for
the Quanta AGM/workshop which occurred a month ago.

For mel, sp[eed of access is important. Being on dialup, if I can't
get the home page in about 20 seconds, I tend to write off that site,
this one displayed the home page pretty quickly, so full marks there.

Can I suggest one addition: a copy of the Quanta library guide in some
form (e.g. a zipped copy of the guide, or an exported plain text file)
for two reasons:

1. We members can always have access to the latest up to date guide.

2. It will show non-members just how much there is in there and
encourage them to subscribe.

Nice start Don - keep up the good work.

P.S. For those who haven't met him, go to the Rogues Gallery (now
called QL'ers Gallery) on my website to meet Don ;-)

P.P.S. I hope that little piece of subterfuge won't cost my website
the prime link slot at the bottom of the Quanta home page ;-))

Subject: [ql-users] New QUANTA web site launched

Just a short announcement that the new QUANTA website
was launched last week :

 * http://www.quanta.org.uk *

The new QUANTA web site aims to serve as a gateway to QL resources,
with extensive cross links to QL resources such as DJ's site and the
new QL Wiki, maintained by Rich Mellor.

We hope that the site will act as an online resource for existing
QUANTA members and as well as attracting new members
to the organisation.

There is a traders gallery, information on QL related systems,
details of QUANTA sub groups, and samples of the magazine for
download.

In the long term, would like to encourage the regional sub groups
to maintain their own content : http://www.quanta.org.uk/subgroups

The web site will grow and evolve over time as new content is added.
If you have any comments or suggestions, please email :

Best Wishes
Dan.
