All other devices are okay. > > Marcel Thank you Marcel - this helps explain why I'd never seen it before and why I had problems reproducing the bug in my program reliably - I was afraid my program may be causing file corruption and so was testing most of the time from ramdisk to avoid risk of corrupting my hard disk or floppies.
