Can someone please clarify the wiring on the QL Serial ports on the
German and US QLs where a 9 Pin DIN was used instead of a BT style plug?

Dilwyn's site says that the same pins were used as on the BT style plug,
but GND (pin 1) appears wrong:

1 GND signal ground
2 TxD output
3 RxD input
4 DTR (=RTS) ready output
5 CTS ready input
6 - +12V

I am asking as someone in the USA needs a printer serial lead to connect
their QL and Sinclair QL-800 Printer. I was wondering if I could use
the Z88 serial lead, which is wired as:

1 - unswitched +5v at 10 uA output
2 TxD transmit data output
3 RxD receive data input
4 RTS ready to send output
5 CTS clear to send input
6 - reserved for future use
7 GND
8 DCD data carrier detect input
9 DTR switched +5v at 1mA output
