::This basically goes to the SMSQ/E experts in the list::::
Folks,
I was just recently given a practically brand-new Atari Falcon 030.
First thought was "this could be used as a a native Motorola Platform
for SMSQ/E". At second thought, this doesn't look so easy, though.
The Falcon seems to be the only platform from the former Atari range
_not_ supported by SMSQ/E. A freshly compiled Atari SMSQ.PRG just
crashes with an impressive amount of bombs....
I have browsed through the mailing list archives and could only find
references to the Falcon from times when the sources weren't available.
Probably, today it might be a bit more easy to get the Falcon supported.

    * Can someone of the SMSQ experts give me a hint why this is so?
(i.e are there major show-stoppers like "don't even dare to try".
    * Some clues and starting points on what would have to be modified
      in the Atari sources?
    * Would this be just an "add a flag here, a new hardware register
there" action or a major undertaking adding new drivers and
      rewriting huge amount of code?
    * Somebody else interested in developing support for the Falcon?

Or is this all just a bad idea and I should forget about that nice box
(Would really suit me, even without support of all the features the
Falcon has - It's just a nice self-contained computer with basically
everything you'd need for a dcent SMSQ box - If it would run).
I'm prepared to invest a few hours, even days or weeks into making it
run, but would rather not start anything if you tell me this would take
months.

Cheers
Tobias
