Oh the 8056, what memories! It would take about half an hour to print out a DP Astrologer graphic, but it worked, if you can (still) find the (expensive) paper!
Does it still require coal to be put in the back? LOL ACB John, you can get a replacement manual for this printer from my website: http://www.dilwyn.uk6.net/docs/manuals/ser8056.zip It lists the code, which IIRC is a subset of very basic Epson commands, including a 60 dots per inch graphics mode. Control codes are listed from page 21.
