I think the answer to the problem is better, or perhaps only, solved by using a second channel for the redefinitions of #4. With the code sent to me, and trying it out with QPC2 and Q60 screen sizes 512x256, I found that substituting #5 for #4 after the first definition of #4 allowed the top border to remain. Leaving the redefinitions of #4 unchanged caused the top border to disappear on both QPC2 and Q60.
