Hey ho, nostalgia, Newbrain was my first foray into 'puters.

I bought mine s/h from Morgan's while they were still only a camera shop in Tott' C't Rd, My choice was on the basis of twin cassette ports and the keybd being virtually the same layout and scale as the Qwerty. 1984 Grundy already on the skids.

Using it on a boat, 12v only, I had quite a job getting the range of voltages required not to mention those for a dotmatrix printer. As far as I remember the pins in the power socket were in the 0.1" spacing and accepted a small piece of a Molex(?) connector. Incidently I used a bit of the same to provide a negative 9v (battery) for a a QL, shoved into the expansion slot.

I was interested to note from Micro Men that Grundy were in the frame for the BBC.
