Yes, you missed my point. TNGT said that Cobol was dead. The actual
situation is that TNGT is dead, and COBOL lives on.

Nope, I said nothing like that. I said that the PC has all of these form
factors. That there are literally millions of them - like there were
COBOL programs - so TNGT is going to do away with all the existing
hardware just like a previous TNGT was going to kill off all those
applications on all those servers running COBOL.

Nope. iPad like devices may catch on - they didn't when they were called
Tablet PCs way back. I admit the technology wasn't as advanced and
mobile phones hardy even existed then. However, in the long run, I
predict, that there will be iPad like devices and maybe lots of them,
but the PC - in all it's guises - will still be dominant.

After all, the iPad has been here before, remember this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPAQ ? There were even Compaq (I think)
versions from before 2000.
