It would also be an ideal topic to launch the QL Forum (www.qlforum.co.uk) - I wonder if there is a way of sharing the discussion on both the forum and the ql mailing list, so that all the QL users are involved? Well, the QL Forum is an 'active' system where you have to actively log in etc to participate.

The ql-users list is 'passive' in the sense that you can just sit back and wait for messages to appear, rather than actively have to visit a website to read or login. Probably because of that it is the only major QL list to have survived the years.

Which is why I expect (I hope I will be proved wrong) the QL Forum will have only limited success like previous forums (fora?)

Some form of RSS feed or such things can notify you when there are new messages on QL Forum I guess would improve the chances of success. Maybe Bruce and Pete&Rob can cooperate on these things?

People can of course also subscribe to a topic (or even sub-forum) within the QL Forum, and then receive an email when a reply is added - you can also add the RSS feed if you like following RSS feeds - simply use Firefox and the RSS feed button appears in the address bar to click on !!
