I'm making some progress with my CST Thor rebuild project. Almost 3 of my 4
Thor computer work right now. One is still dismantled.

This week I've got a RODIME RO652 harddisk from someone in the United
States. The seller reported that the drive is in working condition. Today I
connected it to one of my Thor XVI computers (only one Thor XVI has the SCSI
interface populated). This Thor has an brand new external switched power
supply. When I startup the computer, the drive starts spinning. So far, so
good. I know from the Thor manual that FORMAT needs an * after device name
(e.g. FORMAT 'win1_*MyDrive'. But all attempts to access/format the harddisk
failed. I've tried all drive numbers from Win1_ to Win8_.

My speculation: Wrong jumper settings on the harddisk. Does anybody know how
the Jumper settings must be to operate a RODIME RO652 in a CHST Thor or with
a CST SCSI Interface on the QL? Any other hints?

I've uploaded some PICs. See: http://tinyurl.com/6jq55bo

Many thanks for any help!

Cheers, Urs
