I use an old Fujitsu DL1150 dot matrix printer which does me fine, and 
will still work with Vista.  It has been difficult to get ribbons; there 
is a lot of old, dried out stock around.  I've found  
www.cartridgesave.co.uk, a small company locally in Stockport with 
ribbons, with fair prices including delivery so no shocks at the 
checkout.   My particular model is "110 chrs" that is it takes A4 
landscape and so will print portrait on A3.  I find that this gives me 
useful extra space for spreadsheets: I used to do an A5 magazine on the 
QL too, paired pages together.   Unfortunately Vista won't always 
recognise this and then insists on turning it round!
