Dilwyn was using, I assume, some version of IE and when he clicked on the
downloads, he didn't see anything except a screen displaying grey text on
a grey background with a pair of massive adverts beneath.
Ah yes, grey on grey and cyan on grey so favoured by graphic designers and
IT pros. A real pain for older eyes or those with visual disabilities, or
using smaller netbook screens, or (my case) cheap monitors.
As Norman could tell, I was impressed (not) ... but then he's the IT pro and
knows best (plus he can out-argue me hands down every time).
Nonetheless, Norman's Q-Stripper program made the entire bad taste
experience of that particular website worthwhile, I'm glad to say - so we
now have 32 bit and 64 bit versions (and Linux) of this program which is so
handy for viewing Quill files, not to mention the ability to convert them to
3 or 4 other formats. Great work, Norman.
