am very sorry to read your news! You have done a great job and I was very happy 
to see some movement and new hardware developments! My plan was to wait still 
the SD project is ready and than make my old QL working again which anyhow 
needs some repair ...

In general as I see it, it's quite difficult to move on with such projects, 
mostly for economic reasons. It may would be a solution to first get the 
interest from the users and than start a bounty in order to secure that the 
project can be started and fully developed and purchased. Bounties are often 
used for retro computer soft- and hardware developments - somebody got an idea 
for a new project, puts the description online, sets an amount and when this 
amount is reached the project gets started.
Just sorry to lose you as a developer :-(
