Low speed doesn't worry me Wolfgang,
ultra-low probably will. I had the chance to try a very early version of
Wolfgang's SMSQmulator on an ARM board and it wasn't exactly fun. ARM is too
slow and Java is not optimized for the ARM like it is for the x86.
Why don't you try uqlx?

Yes, Tobias, uqlx is certainly my intended route at present; I think
that it has been de-bugged now. But an alternative route may help get
the QL wider exposure in the young R-pi community. As Oracle are
presenting Java on the R-pi perhaps they'll tweak it to work well. They
obviously see that having it on R-pi will help young developers get a
feel for writing Java stuff.
