I'm sorry, due to the recent loss of my father I was not in the mood
to participate in any discussions. Just a short answer:

This is probably because you do not play any games, as many of these
will show the same problems. I use DirectX to scan the keyboard and
some PCs, Lenovo seems to be one of the more prevalent offenders, seem
to break this input method quite badly. The method has, however, some
advantages and is not as easy to replace as I'd like.

I can understand that this state is frustrating, but I want to make
clear that this is not a bug in QPC2 but an incompatibility of the PC
in use. Even Microsoft's own DirectX diagnostic tools show the same
behaviour. I've been and will continue looking into implementing an
alternative input method, but this is very difficult to do in a
compatible way.
