Hmm, the enormous speed differences (w/r to QPC) baffle me.
Here, QPC is about 8-10 times faster, but that's it (which is still a
great lot faster!).
Apparently, a (single core?) Celeron really slows SMSQmulator down.
If I had had those "speeds" when developing - SMSQmulator wouldn't have
seen the light of day.

I have done some simple speed tests between QPC2 and SMSQmulator.
The system I am running on is a WINdoes XP with service pack 3. On as
2.93GHz Celeron processor with 2G of ram. With NORTON 360 running in the
background, that is my firewall and anti virus program.
From clicking on the SMSQmulator JAVA exe file to displaying the
SMSQmulator
window takes 15 seconds, then loading and running my boot file a further
10 seconds. I am running a screen size of 1024 x 600. Don't know if that
makes any difference.
If I run a simple program as follows:-
100 FOR a=1 TO 1000
110 PRINT a
120 NEXT a
On SMSQmulator it takes 2 min, 42 seconds to run.
On QPC2 the same program runs in 5 seconds
So SMSQmulator is 32.4 times slower than QPC2 on my system.
So for programs like word processors speadsheets etc. Not a real
problem. But programs like games, I would say, not so good. However my
simple program is not representative of running real programs, so they
may well run faster. All you can do is try them as see how you get on. I
just did this out of interest just to see what would happen.

I've released a new version of SMSQmulator this mornong.
Apart from a small bugfix, this nox implments copying to/from the
clipboard to the Scrap thing.
The manual shows how this can easily be automated via a hotkey.
