Hi all,
I downloaded SMSQmulator a few days ago and reinstalled Java 7 this
morning.
Unzipping and installing the emulator went fast and smooth.
Some statistics:
TEST909.obj:
QPC2 SMSQMULATOR

I could launch QDT.
Couldn't install PROWESS & PROFORMA
Progammes that lock when trying to open a file:
SUQ205N.obj (current version of SUQCESS)
QLDBAS.OBJ (my own frontend for DBAS-files)
BMP.OBJ

The above Progs are all Easymenu/EasyPr . Incompatibility with
SMSQMULATOR or bug in EasyPtr or am I missing something?

If not EasyPTR it could be they were all done with Qliberator.
Another option for the problems with SuQ205N and QLDBAS may be the DBAS
engine.
The DBAS database file is only read in sections through a channel and this
is kept open while the file is loaded in SuQcess and all changes are then
directly written to the file.
BMP also opens a channel to read the filenames from the picture directory
with DJ_OPEN_DIR.
You could try the DBAS program DBPTR, this was not done with EasyPTR or
Qlib.
If this also locks then the "open channel" looks more likely.
