Not entirely to blame... at several QL meets over the years, and in
Ireland, Roy and myself found ourselves sitting on the seafront or in a
beer garden, drinking wines and beers, and discussing our other love -
music.

Roy is a walking encyclopedia of rock n'roll roadie stories. I mean,
unbelievable. You just couldn't make this stuff up. He's worked with
Manfred Mann, Accept, UDO, Steve Harley, Kingdom Come to name but a few.
Not to mention his own bands, such as Dogwatch (who were bigger than the
stranglers for a time) and last post.

Most of the stories ended with me laughing my head off, and saying "Roy,
you really should write a book".....

Ashamed to say I haven't had the time to read it yet due to ill health, but
I plan to soon. I want to get one personally. I have no doubt it's a great
read.

Darren.
