Geoff has said -
....I doubt it. There are numerous examples of large corporations pursuing
small
companies with a similar name even when the smaller company started trading
first.

There now follows a short and true story.
Related, and completely off-topic.
This is the funny season. Here we go....
This United States learning place of excellence - Yale. Named, as it is,
after Eluhi Yale. Like me, a native of my home town - we even have his
bones (but not mine - until you read this!).
In times gone by, this hereabouts was the "Principality of Yale".
{Hence the beautiful local village's name viz: "Llanarmon yn Ial", (with an
excellent pub, The Raven) being rendered from the Welsh into English, the
village name that is, = "Garmon's Church in the Principality of Yale".
Note-1: In the drover's days it had seven pubs.
Note-2: and at least one villager called "Jones" .
No! not "Graphic Jones the QL"
Note-3: There were no "Geoff's" whatsoever.}
In short (!) that is, hereabouts it's no secret that we live in the "Land of
Yale".
OK. You jumped straight to the sub-routine and guessed it! - Sorry, but I'm
going to write it anyway.
It all happened when our local learning place of excellence - "Yale
College" - opened their web site.....
And the international lawyers loved it all. Well, they would, wouldn't
they?
And manifestly, as 'JM' came before 'JS', WE had Yale FIRST. It's ours.
It's in the history books.
Well it's in OUR history books. We wrote 'em, so we know. You can please
yourself.
Alas, as Geoff said "There are numerous examples..." so it is.
And with very best wishes to you all for the festive season.

PS Go on then, search the web and see for yourself.
