How did you get your mouse to work at that baud rate, mine manages 1200 baud ;-)) That's the usual culprit in these cases, a software conflict and as you say only by adding one step at a time until the problem is found can you really trace it. It might be as easy in some cases as popping up a QPAC2 channels menu in case some program is hogging the serial port or setting a different baud rate, it might be another extension with the same name (easily checked, copy the camera extensions to the screen if it has any extensions, make a note of the extension names, then compare these against EXTRAS list to see if two BASIC extensions have the same name) -- Dilwyn Jones [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.soft.net.uk/dj/index.html
