Hi Tony,

my best temperature ever was the night I was driving from Bradford to
Aberdeen via Glasgow. It was December 28th or 29th and it was minus 28 C in
Glasgow that night. It was the coldest on record - ever !

Our car's winscreen wash bottle (!) froze solid.
The windows were icing up every half mile or so.
We (luckily) had a full can of de-icer.
It was carnage on the motorways as everyone was stopping to scrape their
windows.

In the end, we got off the motorway, and headed into the hills (!) and
stopped overnight in a village where we had a nice warm room and the next
day it was easier to travel home.

Don't fancy doing that again in a hurry !

Norman.

PS. At least we didn't get hit by anything, unlike yourself.
