This may be of interest to Tony, Roy, Jochen, Darren and anyone else who
wants to make or receive international payments. It is hoped that
overseas members of Quanta may pay their subscriptions this way as it means
that Quanta can then dispense with the very uneconomic 'Merchant Account'
What is it? It is PayPal. To get all the details click on the link below.
Basically they act as an internet banker. You register with them as a
person, to do this you provide your email address, your credit or debit card
number, your name, address and telephone number.
If I wanted to pay, say Jochen, I would tell them his email address and the
amount and they would charge my credit/debit card and credit Jochen's PayPal
account. Jochen would then transfer the amount, or a cumulative amount,
into his bank account or credit card account.
Or, Jochen for his part could tell them my email address and amount and my
PayPal account would be charged, PayPal would then charge my debit/credit
card.
Both participants need to be members of PayPal
You can have a personal or/and business account with them and their income
comes from investing the cash balances as many traders use their PayPal
account to do most of their buying and selling. They claim to have four
million customers.
Have a look, I would value your opinions.
