I have discussed this a few months back.

I found it impossible to get one file from their site that listed _all_
the details.

In any case I don't like the idea of someone in the US accepting
payments for me.

I want to deal direct with the customer - most of whom I know anyway.

I have decided to go for the following:

1) cash by registered post (preferred and probably cheapest for
customer)

2) International money order.

My volume of mail order overseas sales has been so low in the last n
years, it is not even worth considering internet credit card handlers.

If they were based in the UK, then they would be outlawed by the bank.
Roy got stung like this recently.

I will only take up credit cards again if I can find a UK based bank
that allows me to enter details on-line (ie a web site) or uses paper.

I find it incredible that no merchant services use a direct web
interface - most of banks have such access for bank accounts now.
Other than setup costs, it would be very cheap to maintain.
