Hi to all,

I am looking for info of ULA 2 and SPC behaviour.
My old QL, that is heawilly wirewrapped (amongst other things, complete bus mouse interface,
printerport, 2Mb DRAM exp, new 68008 CPU in PLCC, floppy controller etc.- everything handmade with classic
chips and wirewrapped) and is crashing most of its time now due to bazillion wires inside.

So, I have made new proto-board for it. While at it, I ahave decide that this would be ideal oportunity to replace some
old Sinclair mistakes. So, there is new CPU in it 68EC000 instead of old 68008 with 8-bit data bus and PIC17C766 will replace old
ULA 2 and SPC. In order to write code for the PIC, I have to be familiar with exact behaviour of SPC and ULA 2.

In one of my scrap machines was HERMES SPC and I have several official SPCs also. They are not protected and I have read them.
If i get no other info, I'll have to dissect SPC code to be able to write my own. But this is tedious and painfull, so I thought if anyone knows
something more about SPC and/or ULA II, he might be willing to help me out...

I have posted this question at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and Arnould Nazarian said that it would be good idea to post it here, because
creator of Hermes and Minerva - Laurence Reeves is following this mailing list and he might be of help...

I'm not after getting cheaply Hermes or whatever, I already have the chip. It's not the matter of unauthorized copying, since chip is unprotected as it is.
I only want to know, what is its expected behaviour to the utside world, in order to be able to emulate it with PIC.
Same goes for ULA II...

TIA,

Branko
