Hello again,

I suppose you created your menu with Easymenu_exe. In that case, perhaps
you didn't choose the right background option.
There are two of them:
1) Bakground neutral. If you hit (left mouse button) that option, the
background turns black. Doing it lets you select a colour background.
2) Background Basic. This option doesn't draw a phantom background.

Could this be the solution to your problem?
