make sure it doesn't have a BIOS ROM. Such cards will most likely
not work or require a nonstandard initialisation seqeunce...
fun disassembling the onboard BIOS.
Also beware of IDE cards that promise to solve all your problems
with HD's larger than XXX, same problem here, just another
indication of the problem above.

should not be any problem, usually one or both controllers can
be disabled anyway.

seems like a good price. Also the relatively low price means it
