As early as that? I had thought it was late '86 (well, late '8? until now
:) that they'd changed. Unfortunately, I don't keep my collection here, so
I can't tell...

I was sad to see the old QLU go, especially when compared to the earlier
QLW; so it was nice that the merger effectively stayed with the QLU style.

Great - Somehow, I never received the September 1986; and although I forget
why for the moment, at the time I was deeply annoyed. It was probably
because they were half-way through a PROGS program, and I missed either a
middle or end chunk.
Fortunately, I've picked up Aug-Dec '86 for a few quid, so with a little
luck I'll be able to (finally!) complete my collection. (Sep '86 - it must
be that one, it was during the changeover - is the only QLU/QLW I haven't
got. I've even got the original 1st issue, which had that text adventure
game as it's type-in program; the first thing I ever keyed into a QL (and
it never did work properly!). Back in those days, it took me about an hour
to type in each page - hunt & peck...
Cheers!
Ade.
