I well remember returning from a QL show via Dover in a minibus along
with Freddie Vacchha. There had been an IRA alert, so we were obvious
candidates.
Anyway I was getting on OK with this (quite dishy) _female_ customs
officer. She apologised, and said she had to go through the motions.
... so there we were going through my bomb kit (urmm toolbox) containing
wire, solder, detonators (well a mains XXY filter capacitor) fuses,
magnets, meter etc.
.... and in bounces Freddie pretending to be angry "You have no right to
do this to us". She did not understand Freddie's sense of humour (did
anyone?) and it became _very_ tense for the next few minutes until he
went away.
