It is less noisy, and allows for a better mechanically secured SGC.
All expansion cards need to be converted to 5V if used in an AT case -
usually means a jumper between outer pins of regulator.
Also connect the 9V and 5V rail on the QL motherboard together at the
expansion slot end.  Simply jumpering the regulator socket creates very
long power lines.

.... but make sure first that the regulator (under the heat sink) is not
bypassed if you fit to a std QL.  As the SGC is second hand it may have
come from a tower case.
You will also need a keyboard interface to use a PC AT keyboard
(superHernes - see my web site - or a second hand Di-Ren)

SuperBAsic is a superb start.  Even by today's standards it is a very
good basic indeed, but using toolkitII is essential I think. Type
tk2_ext to get it.  In later SGCs there is a command that stores in in
NVR for auto addition at boot - autotk2?
