Hi!
Some months ago, I bought a QL, just to know more about this great
computer, never released in Brazil. Now I think I'm in love with it :)
I read this list and I see that QL is really a COMPUTER, not just
an old computer from the 80s. It's amazing to see people talking about
the future of this plattaform. This is really a great step: today's
computer's users just wait for a new hardware, a new version of this or
that OS and keep using, with (almost) no participation on its
development.
So, I got a QL, a QUBIDE and an Super Gold Card. My QL has also
manual and original microdrives. What I have to do to start using it?
        1) What is the best way to plug SuperGoldCard, QUBIDE and cables,
AT powersupply (for floppy and HD), floppy and HD to QL. May I put it
all in a box and plug QUBIDE to QL using a flex cable?
        2) SuperGoldCard needs a external PSU or it uses from QL bus?
        3) Is there any ROM upgrade I need to do in my QL/ (its serial
number is D009-something).
        4) What shall I use to:
                A) wordprocessor
                B) spreadsheet (w/ .xls translation or something similar)
                C) database (not complex, just for a collection control)
                D) mail and navigation (as far as I read here, it is not
possible by now, right?)
                E) programming (is SuperBasic the best for an old Spectrum
user and a free-time VB programmer?)
                F) games (of course, I little fun is not bad)
        5) My TV is PAL-N, PAL-M and NTSC, but screen is always black and
with, even using a PAL>NTSC transcoder. Is there any way to connect a
CGA or VGA monitor? Is there a kind of multisync VGA to use with old
computers?

I think it's all by now. I hope you all could help me!

Thanks a lot!
