Nope - I had a non-working mouse board someone had tried to make.  "It
doesn;t work" he said.  Reason?  All the components had been inserted on
the wrong side, and he HAD tried to solder on the non-plated side!
He also   left 10mm (yes lmost 1/2 inch) of bare wire on the end of each
cable connection.
