Geoff The ML 4500 is a software only printer and doesn't have the hardware PCL3 emulation unlike the ML 4600 which works with QPC & Linux as it has the hardware emulation. I can recommend the ML-4600 as I use it everyday.

However, I have also tried it on QPC, using both "Printer" and "LPT1" as printer port without success. The information about your printer indicates that it is worth experimenting further, and worth checking to see if there are any differences between an ML-4500 and an ML-4600. I don't think I have ever seen an ML-4600. Thanks for the help, Best Wishes, Geoff Wicks.
