Good point, I have just opened up my Z88 PSU and there is a 7805 5Volt
regulator in it. So if you buy a adapter It would be a good idea to build a
small regulator circuit with a 7805. You need the regulator itself. 2 0.1uF
caps connect one across the input to the regulator and one across the
output. Regulator connections are, with the tap back down and the pins
towards you, left input, middle ground and right hand is the output. If you
don't want to solder then us some mains connector strip 2A stuff is fine.
the Cap's and regulator you can get from Maplin. If you do this the adaptor
needs to be about 9V to 12V so the regulator can work.

Does the Z88 have inbuilt regulation? If so, great, if not, make sure the 
PSU is regulated.
