Rewriting SMSQ in C seems rather pointless to me, as you wouldnt be able to
run most existing QL programs on it without an additional emulator - and we
already have those. Writing a version of SuperBasic in C to run on various
platforms might be a better idea. But then again, one of the great features
of SB is that it also is a systems interface and that would probably not be
easy to do in any general way.

There are already two portable emulators, uQLx - runs on almost any Linux
system, and  UAE, an Amiga emulator that can emulate a QL ;)
