Well, I don't really see any incompatibility here. If you want applications to run on both platforms then restrict yourself to the common denominator, which is plain 68000 language. You know, I also think it would be nice to have. But it needs a somewhat bigger reason to be worth my time ;-) I regret the incompatibilities in GD2 and tried to avoid it, but the milk's already spilled, so to say. But in fact, the incompatibilities are not the problem. The problem is lacking OS support for platform independent programming. The OS could handle the differences.
